The Truth About Six Figure Flower Farming: Who It's For, What We Do & Why I Built It

Building a Profitable Flower Farm Business

There was a point in my flower farming journey when I realized that knowing how to grow beautiful flowers wasn't enough. I could grow dahlias, ranunculus, snapdragons, and all kinds of gorgeous cut flowers, but I was still asking myself some pretty important questions. Am I actually making money? Why am I working so hard? And how do I turn this into a business that can financially support my family without running me into the ground? I loved growing flowers, and I wanted to keep doing it for the rest of my career. But I needed to figure out how to make flower farming financially sustainable.

The problem wasn't a lack of growing knowledge. There were plenty of wonderful resources teaching flower farmers how to start seeds, harvest flowers, and manage pests. What I couldn't find was someone teaching the actual business skills that small-scale flower farmers need to succeed. So I started looking outside our industry, learning about marketing, sales, financial management, and business operations. A whole lot of trial and error later, those lessons completely transformed my farm. And eventually, they became the foundation for my Six Figure Flower Farming business program.

Why Growing Beautiful Flowers Isn't Enough to Build a Profitable Flower Farm

I know so many incredibly talented flower farmers who can grow absolutely stunning flowers but still struggle to make their businesses profitable. They spend their days planting, weeding, harvesting, and hauling buckets of flowers, only to get to the end of the season and wonder where all the money went. Sound familiar? The truth is, being a great flower grower and being a great flower farm business owner are two different skill sets. And if you want to make a sustainable living from flower farming, you need both.

The good news is that you don't need to become an accountant or get a business degree to make this work. You need to understand a handful of important business principles and learn how to apply them to your unique farm. That means asking questions like:

  • Which flowers and sales outlets are actually making me the most money?

  • Am I pricing my bouquets and cut flowers profitably?

  • Where am I wasting time, money, or resources?

  • How can I attract more customers and encourage repeat purchases?

  • What should I focus on first to make the biggest difference in my business?

These are exactly the kinds of questions that inspired me to create Six Figure Flower Farming. Because the goal isn't to grow more flowers, add more acreage, or work longer hours. It's to make better decisions with the resources you already have.

The Five Business Skills Every Flower Farmer Needs to Grow Profitably

Over the years, I've worked with hundreds of flower farmers, and one thing has become incredibly clear: no two farms need exactly the same business strategy. One farmer might be struggling to attract customers, while another has plenty of customers but isn't charging enough. Someone else might have a profitable farm but be completely overwhelmed by the amount of work it takes to keep everything running. That's why growing a successful flower farm starts with understanding what's actually happening inside your own business.

Inside Six Figure Flower Farming, we focus on five core areas that determine whether your flower farm is profitable, efficient, and sustainable:

  1. Profit and Financial Management: Understand your numbers, calculate profit margins, and identify opportunities to increase your income.

  2. Discovering Your Moneymakers: Determine which crops, products, and sales outlets are most profitable so you can focus your resources where they'll make the biggest difference.

  3. Efficient Farm Operations: Identify bottlenecks, streamline repetitive tasks, improve time management, and learn when to delegate or hire.

  4. Flower Farm Marketing: Build an actionable marketing strategy that attracts the right customers instead of simply posting more on Instagram and hoping for the best.

  5. Sales and Customer Retention: Learn how to turn interested people into paying customers, encourage repeat purchases, and increase the value of your existing customer relationships.

And here's the important part: we're not trying to turn every flower farm into a copy of mine. Your growing conditions, customer base, acreage, financial goals, and personal priorities are different from mine. The point is to give you the tools to understand your own business, identify your biggest opportunities, and create a plan that makes sense for YOU.

How Six Figure Flower Farming Helps You Earn More and Work Less

One of the biggest misconceptions about building a successful flower farm is that you have to keep expanding to make more money. More growing space, more crops, more sales outlets, more customers, more everything. But sometimes the most profitable decision you can make is to stop doing something that's not working. Maybe you've been growing a flower that barely covers its production costs. Maybe one of your sales outlets requires hours of preparation but brings in very little profit. Or maybe a simple change in your harvest workflow could save you several hours every single week.

Our six-week live Six Figure Flower Farming business accelerator is designed to help you uncover those opportunities and actually do something about them. Rather than handing you a giant library of information and hoping you figure it out, we walk you through a structured process of evaluating your business and developing a plan for the coming season. You'll have access to calculators, templates, worksheets, prerecorded lessons, weekly live Q&A and coaching sessions, and a community of other flower farmers working through the same process. Most students spend approximately two to six hours per week learning and implementing what they discover.

And I want to be very clear about something: this isn't a magic formula. You're not going to enroll and suddenly have a wildly profitable flower farm six weeks later without doing any work. The return comes from implementing what you learn. My goal is for you to finish the program knowing exactly where your biggest opportunities are, what your priorities should be, and how to move forward with confidence. Not just with a binder full of worksheets collecting dust on a shelf.

Is Six Figure Flower Farming the Right Business Course for You?

Despite the name, you absolutely do NOT need to be making six figures to benefit from this program. You don't even have to WANT a six-figure flower farm! We've worked with farmers who want to build full-time businesses and farmers who simply want their flowers to provide meaningful supplemental income. What matters is that you want your farm to be profitable, manageable, and financially worthwhile.

Six Figure Flower Farming might be a great fit if you:

  • Already know how to grow flowers but struggle with the business side of flower farming.

  • Want to improve your pricing, profitability, marketing, sales, or farm efficiency.

  • Feel overwhelmed by everything you could be doing and need clarity about what to prioritize.

  • Want a sustainable business that gives you more financial stability AND more time for your life outside the farm.

  • Are ready to look at your numbers, make decisions, and implement what you learn.

On the other hand, if you're primarily looking for growing education, like how to start seeds, grow dahlias, or install irrigation, this probably isn't the right program for you yet. And that's okay! I want flower farmers to invest in education that makes sense for where they are right now. But if you're waiting until you feel more confident about running a business before learning business skills, I'd encourage you to reconsider. You don't have to master something before you're ready to learn it.

Build a Flower Farm Business That Supports the Life You Want

At the end of the day, building a profitable flower farm isn't just about hitting a certain revenue number. It's about creating a business that pays you fairly, gives you financial stability, and doesn't consume every waking hour of your life. I want flower farmers to enjoy growing flowers without constantly feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or unsure whether all their hard work is actually paying off. Because when the stress starts stealing the joy, something needs to change.
